If so it's possible you have an MPEG-2 Decoder but the Nero 8 install accidentally messed up the decoder settings. When you are done selecting the profile and/or codecs to install, keep clicking next, install etc until the application installs. My next guess would to reinstall the MPEG-2 Decoder you have installed if possible as it sounds like Nero has it's own MPEG-2 Decoder that messed that install up. It was clever enough to work out I had the Vista Codec Pack already installed and prompted me to see if I should uninstall it.
