Google showed some people having the error pop up because they have an enabled onboard video card with less then 64MB of ram and WMC sees that video card and in Having the same issue. To get that to work I had to uninstall and reinstall Playready. I uninstalled the ATI driver and reinstalled, and it went away for several days and is now back.

After following advice on this thread, the thing that solved the problem was to STOP running my audio over HDMI and I sent video thru HDMI and audio through Optical cable. Nor do I have any problems when watching live TV (HDHomeRun). I'm wondering why it has just been a recent problem. If I close and restart Media Centre (Windows 7 x64), or even switch channeks and then come back to the originak channel it works.Does it happen to everyone else here all The issue seems to occur when HDMI is being used for audio and video and the output is set for 5.1 (or 7.1). Nor do I have any problems when watching live TV (HDHomeRun). After restarting of windwos media plyer it recreated the settings and MEdia Center started to work as well. My audio device is a customized DAC and multichannel amp (very high quality). Hmmmm Reinstalling video codecs - no joy.

Some user's have used a 3rd party video decoder buy have stayed with MS supplied audion decoder.
