For further information regarding this particular issue, refer to Microsoft KB 2796528. The 64-bit version will not work -as told on another forum. Click on 'File --> Export --> Messages' and then follow the same procedure as Windows Mail. Read More Here Open Windows Mail.
I have already tried the only other option to the Microsoft Exchange format and it is not accepted by XP's Outlook. Import Windows Mail To Outlook Copy them to the XP machine and then create a new folder such as oldsentitems in OE and open it so it shows an empty message list. The MAPI error you see means WM can't find the Outlook files it needs.
