Not sure if it will help, or if you've already tried it, but it did solve a problem exactly the same as yours for me and a customer I was assisting.Like This is usually caused by a setting in your Internet Explorer that sets your Windows Live Mail to work offline. Check that you don't have Internet Explorer running Offline, if you do, deselect Work Offline to go online4. Close & open Windows Live Mail again - voila!, all the mail is rushing in. I inadvertently hit the "Work Offline" button on the toolbar which needless to say, took me off line. Open IE, press the Alt+T keyboard shortcut for the Tools menu (works in all versions), and pick Options / Internet Options (depends on your version).
