When I install Office 2007 SP1, I not only get the annoying "Configuring Office 2007" small box but I also will get the larger (and longer) box. At least for word, the only one I changed then, I think I have to make it to every program from Office.... What a bore... Isn´t it MICROSOFT job?

I wish this philosophy would stick in my country, sadly it does not as ofthen as other countries. Then i installed Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro - and the windows installer problems happened with that- so after looking at the adobe Forum i followed the instructions that are listed under Try replacing the word "word" in the reg line with "PowerPoint" (without the quotes). So I deleted the shortcuts and then navigated to the folder where the office files were located on the program files and created new shortcuts and the issue was resolved.

With Outlook, I get the installer windows (smaller ones) for "every" incoming message, which is kind of annoying. Have you tried the fix above?
