Copy the contents of the font files that we got from Step 1 to C:\Windows\Fonts directory of the affected machine. I'd love to hear a logical explanation to this from someone. I had already copied the fonts over from another computer just to have them revert to symbols on restart. I also deleted the groups Font Management, Font Drivers, FontLink, FontMapper, and FontSubstitutes, though I re-added them later and suspect they were unrelated.
