Pennsylvania Posts: 52,630 OS: Win7 Open task manager(right click on a empty part of the task bar and select task manager from the list) on the Services tab click on name Error 4201 The Instance Name Passed Windows Server 2008 R2 It fixed the Event Log Service, working of which allowed to install the SP1, installation of which allowed file copy/move/delete do seamlessly in the local network environment. Verify that the service is running. When I go to Services, select Windows Event Log and try to start this service I get Windows could not start the Windows event my response error code 1073741502. Or from wired AUTOConfig, windows could not start the Wired AutoConfig service on local computer...
They in fact have a brand new case (same problem) that was just escalated to them and they are going to take an Image of that persons system first thing so Windows Could Not Start The Windows Event Log Service On Local Computer Error 1747 So I did something else instead: I went into safe mode, right clicked on that folder and went to properties then security then I added new group called "SYSTEM" and allowed I am also unable to take ownership of the folders and their contents either to place Administrator or myself as the owner. Finally figured it out it was due to some permission problem and i had to apply the SYSTEM user with full control on the folder c:\windows\system32\logfiles\wmi\RTbackup. at this point it should be running. After effects of this process which happened to me, were that the Network List Service would not run...
